Folder Option is one of the elements that being the most critical part to be affected in any computer if it is being attacked by virus or any trojan. Through folder option we have choice whether to hide or show the hidden files. Hidden file normally being adopted for the computer system to operate and it avoid the user from delete or alter it.
Usually virus appeared to be hidden to hinder it from being detected manually by us. Then to make it a little bit harder for us, this hacker feel it is better to delete any way to trace their virus. So we cannot access any hidden folder that might be a virus. They did this by disabling the folder option menu in computer systems.
Here is a solution on how to resolve this problem manually using registry.
1. Open registry editor by using command prompt. ( Start --> Run --> Regedit )
2. Find this path in the registy:

3. In this path, search "CheckedValue" value
4. Change the values according to parameters as shown below
5. To enable = "1" otherwise "0"
6. Close the registry and restart your PC to take effect.
